In case of a forgotten admin password for Windows XP or Windows Vista, boot the handy freeware Offline NT Password & Registry Editor disk image from disk or CD to:

- (re)set the password of any user that has a valid (local) Windows account

- detect and unlock locked or disabled out user accounts

- edit the Windows registry
