Teamviewer: An Easy Remote Desktop Client to Help Your Mother ;)

Download the installer

The first step is to download the setup file from www.teamviewer.com . There is a free version available which is enough for our purpose. Make sure that both machines, the local and remote, install the software.

Start the remote session

Both have to start teamviewer. Ask the other guy for his ID (shown in the teamviewer startup window).

Type in the given ID and press connect. You have to type in a password: this password is also shown in the other teamviewer startup window.

Help your friend :)

The free version of teamviewer has a time limit – I think it’s about 30 minutes. If you haven’t done your work in time, you have to proceed from step “Start the remote session”.

I hope this will help you. I often use teamviewer to help my mother remotely. It is so easy – I love this product :).
